October 2024: Our sculpture “Hexagonal Conic Spiral Polyhedron with Joints” (joint work with Kanata Warisaya, University of Tokyo) is on display in the CONNECTING ARTIFACTS Exhibition 04 at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation in Tokyo, Japan.
September 2024: I have been awarded a Swiss Government Excellence Fellowship and will start my postdoctoral research with Prof. Mark Pauly at EPFL this fall.
July-August 2024: I visited Prof. Tomohiro Tachi’s lab, TachiLab, at the University of Tokyo. During my visit, I gave a talk at the Symposium on Origami Bridging Art Science and Industry at the University of Tokyo, Japan. Additionally, I presented my work at the International Conference on Geometry and Graphics in Kitakyushu, Japan.
July 2024: I co-authored five papers presented at the Origami in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Conference (8OSME) in Melbourne, and personally presented two of them.
June 2024: I was invited to give a talk at the Gathering4Gardner Celebration of Mind virtual events.
May 2024: I was invited to give a talk at RICAM Linz during the Special Semester on Rigidity and Flexibility.
January 2024: To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Rubik’s Cube, I gave a talk at the AMS Special Session on Serious Recreational Mathematics during the Joint Mathematics Meeting 2024 in San Francisco. Read more in this AMS article by Elaine Beebe.
August 2023: Popular Science wrote an article about our paper on Kirigami corrugations.
August 2023: MIT News published an article about our paper on Kirigami corrugations.
May 2023: RnKOLEKTIVE launched its exhibition of Metallic Kusudama at the MIT Media Lab.
